1. Overview
This policy explains what information the Jelly Sort team ("we") processes when providing the mobile application Jelly Sort (the "app"), why, for how long, and your rights. We follow the laws that apply where you live, including the Korean Personal Information Protection Act and the EU GDPR.
2. Information we do not collect
- Accounts, names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts — the app has no sign-up or sign-in.
- Photos, camera, microphone, precise location — the app does not use the camera, gallery, microphone or location (GPS) permissions. For approximate location, see section 4.
3. Information kept only on your device
Level progress and stars, coins, shelf skins, daily challenge and streak records, and settings (sound, vibration, language, text size and so on) are stored only on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the app. We do not send this information to our server.
4. Information processed and why
| Information | Purpose | Processed by |
|---|---|---|
| App interactions (usage events such as launch, level start and clear, boosters and rewarded bonuses used, purchases), diagnostics (app version, error and performance information), app instance ID, device information (model, OS, language), approximate region (from IP), advertising ID | Usage statistics (analytics), improving the app, measuring ad performance | Google Firebase Analytics |
| Device and other IDs such as the advertising ID, device information, approximate location derived from your IP address, ad interactions | Showing, personalising and measuring ads, managing ad consent | Google AdMob · Google UMP |
| Purchase receipts and history (product, time, country and currency), a random anonymous purchaser ID, device platform | Delivering, verifying and restoring in-app products (remove ads, Jelly VIP, coins, etc.) | Google Play Billing · RevenueCat |
| The app's package name | Fetching the ad settings (which ad formats are on) when the app starts | Our server |
Summary of data collected and shared (as declared in Google Play's Data safety section)
- Approximate location — the app never asks for your location. Our ad partner (Google AdMob) derives it from your IP address and collects and processes it for advertising.
- Device or other IDs (advertising ID, app instance ID, anonymous purchaser ID) — collected for app functionality (verifying purchases), analytics and advertising, and shared with Google.
- App interactions — collected for analytics and advertising, and shared with Google.
- Diagnostics — collected for analytics and shared with Google.
- Purchase history — processed only if you buy an in-app product, to deliver and restore it.
All data is transmitted over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
Ads and consent
The app shows Google AdMob ads (banner, interstitial, rewarded and exit-screen ads). Users in the EU, UK and other regions where it is required are asked for consent through Google UMP (User Messaging Platform), and the result also sets Firebase Analytics' ad-related collection. Where it applies, you can change your choice at any time under "Ad privacy choices" in Settings, and you can reset or delete your advertising ID or limit personalised ads in your device settings. If you do not consent, non-personalised ads may still be shown, and the approximate location (from IP) may still be used to serve ads and prevent fraud. Rewarded ads only play when you choose to watch one. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
In-app purchases
Payments are handled by Google Play; we never receive card numbers or other payment details. Purchase verification and restoring are handled by the purchase service RevenueCat using an anonymous ID created by the app, not your name or email. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
5. Retention
- Information on your device: until you uninstall the app
- Our server: ad settings requests are not stored (ordinary access logs are kept briefly for security, then deleted).
- Information processed by Google and RevenueCat: according to each service's retention policy (Firebase Analytics event data up to 14 months). Purchase records may be kept as long as needed to restore purchases and as required by law.
6. Sharing, processors and international transfers
We do not sell your information. The data listed in section 4 is shared with those services for advertising, analytics and payment processing, and with no other third parties. These services (Google Firebase Analytics, AdMob, UMP, Google Play, RevenueCat) process information under their own policies and may operate outside your country, including in the United States.
7. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the age set by law where you live) and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If we learn that such information was collected, we delete it without delay.
8. Your rights and deletion requests
You can delete the data on your device by uninstalling the app, change your ad consent under "Ad privacy choices" in Settings (where it applies), and reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings. We do not keep information that identifies you on our server, but for any question or deletion request, email us at the address below and we will handle it without delay.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will post the new version on this page with its effective date.
